Deauville, Biarritz & Venice

Les Eaux de Chanel remind us of dreamy destinations, which had quite a lot of meaning to Coco Chanel back in the days.

Created at the laboratories in Paris (see previous post for an exclusive tour inside), the scents take us back to three important destinations; Deauville, Biarritz and Venice.

Deauville - the legendary beginning

In 1913 Gabrille Chanel designs and launches her first collection in her very first boutique.

Only two years after her first collection, Gabrielle opened her second store in Biarritz, a city known for its art galleries and high society.

The first years of success fell behind due to the loss of her all time friend and love Boy Capel. To cope with her sadness, she was invited by friends to spend time discovering the beauty of Venice. She got inspired by mosaic, leaf gold and gems that adorn the San Marco Basilica.

Just after short period of time; Chanel launched the three scents in a luxurious body lotion and shower gel. Besides the newness of the perfumes, the packaging got a make over as well.

Hope you love the products as much as I do.
