H&M STUDIO COLLECTION A/W 2016 - PARIS FASHION WEEK

by - March 03, 2016

When H&M touches down in Paris for the A/W16 studio collection show, there's no way you cannot be excited. H&M provided a live stream on their website and showed their collection to the entire fashion world yesterday. As the Creative Advisor of H&M stated : "This collection is about the power and beauty of women and how we can express that power through our style. I find the contrast between strong silhouettes and handcrafted details from the Swedish folklore amazing."

And that's exactly what the collection was. Very strong silhouettes, accentuated shoulders and waist, with the most feminine details.

I made a pick of my favorite pieces, which represent basically this entire collection and explain what it's about. The three most important colors of this collection are blue, neutral colors like white/grey/pastel pink and red. The colored pieces definitely stand out for a A/W collection.

These blue embroidered boots *heart eyes*
As you can see, the silhouettes are very feminine yet the shoulders and waist are accentuated. The looks come across powerful and they make the models look so effortlessly beautiful. I love how they are so wearable.
The most striking color of this collection, red, is incorporated in a way that it hasn't become too much. I love the snake-leather texture and the more boho-chic styles. I'm a big fan of wearing one very outstanding piece like the red snake-leather-printed top, boots or trousers combined with a white shirt. Just like the model is wearing it, this could be one of my outfits.
Take a look at the details.
H&M Studio is the most important seasonal collection for H&M and has its own design team.  This creative limited-edition collection will be available in selected stores and online from September 8 2016 (mark your agenda girls).

These are my favorite looks:
